The Revolutionary Party COMMUNISTES is organizing an initiative on Saturday November 28 at 2:00 p.m. at Maltais Rouge (40 rue de Malte 75011 Paris metro République) on the hundredth anniversary of the constitution of the Communist International and the Communist Parties.
Why such an initiative? Because in our view, the October Revolution in Russia in 1917 opened a page that is not closed. It initiated the formation of a vast revolutionary movement worldwide which resulted in the constitution of communist parties breaking with social democracy, (we are in the post-war period of 14-18 where social democracy submitted to their national bourgeoisie in a sacred union) and by the creation of the Communist International.
Here, we must speak of the 21 conditions and their meaning, of the struggle for the formation of a proletarian party in France, of its struggles for peace and social progress, for the independence of oppressed peoples, for the seizure of power by the working class and its allies.
The formation of the USSR, its victory over Nazism allowed the development of revolutionary transformations throughout the world, and also strengthened and helped the national liberation movements on all continents. The USSR and the socialist countries have profoundly marked the course of the development of the capitalist countries themselves.
The successes of the USSR and of the peoples who freed themselves from colonialism did not end the clash between the countries building socialism and the imperialist countries under the leadership of the USA. This confrontation turned to the advantage of imperialism with the historic defeat of the USSR and the setbacks of the international communist movement. In France, the PCF, which originally began as a proletarian party of a new type, gradually turned into a party affected by political, economic and social reformism that did not stand out from the others. The democratic road to socialism quickly turned to electoralism and the search for political alliance. This is the reason that prompted us to create COMMUNISTES in 2002.
We are the continuers of the revolutionary momentum started by October 1917. This means that to lead the fight we must organize the revolutionary vanguard of the working class, of the workers, of all exploited wage earners and youth. We need to analyze what characterizes the world of today, what the evolution of capitalism in its imperialist form is. For us communists, more than ever the class struggle on a national and international scale is the only way to destroy capitalism and to build a new society free from the exploitation of Man by Man, from misery, hunger and war and which gives workers and youth the prospect of finally living out their aspirations for fraternity and human solidarity.
