Bulletin N°56 avril 2025 Macron supports the Egyptian plan
During his trip to Egypt, Macron issued a few announcements and made a show of empathy for the Palestinians in Gaza who are suffering genocide. He visited the border crossing, a short distance from Rafah.
Did he publicly denounce the 80,000 deaths, including 15,000 children? The continuation of the Zionist project of eradicating the Palestinians? The torture in the occupation prisons and the unbearable treatment suffered by Dr. Hossam Abu Safiya [1] ?
Not at all. Initially, he contented himself with strong support for the "Gaza reconstruction plan" advocated by the Arab League and, in particular, by the Egyptian state. We have already mentioned this, but it is worth remembering that this plan is not at all a real means of resolving the issue or supporting the legitimate demands of the Palestinians. No state with equal rights for its inhabitants! No return of the refugees! An unclear status and leadership of the Gaza Strip entrusted to the so-called Palestinian Authority, which is nevertheless completely discredited. All Palestinians know that these old fogies are concerned only with their own fate and serve as faithful servants to the Zionist colonial state, repressing demonstrations of solidarity with Gaza and attacking the Jenin camp with their security forces, before being replaced by the Zionist colonial army.
In reality, the Egyptian rulers would happily seize the Gaza Strip; the Palestinian Authority would serve them as readily as it serves the Zionist government. Moreover, the plan is an overt attempt to disarm the Palestinian resistance, which is one of the goals of the Zionists, of course, but also of the Arab regimes that wish to completely normalize their relations with the Zionist colonial state. If they vie for control of the Gaza Strip, all would be delighted to be rid of the Palestinian question.
Macron's position of support for the Egyptian plan is above all a posture. The occupying army will not give up its desire to annex Gaza and expel the surviving Palestinians, while the armed resistance refuses to be disarmed. This is a crucial point; without the armed resistance, Gaza would already be completely occupied by the Zionists. While the occupying army controls the skies, ground combat is much more deadly for the genocidaires.
Possible recognition of the State of Palestine
Furthermore, Macron announced the possibility of France recognizing the State of Palestine within a relatively short timeframe. This announcement sparked criticism from Zionist rabids, but, conversely, enthusiasm from all the right-thinking members of the French "left," who have been calling for such recognition for years.
For the Revolutionary Communist Party, recognition of the Palestinian state is just like invocations of respect for "international law." All of this is just blah-blah with no real impact. 168 states have already recognized Palestine. We're not going to complain about it, but we know that, for most of these countries, this is an opportunistic position intended to calm the people and workers who are in solidarity with the Palestinians. After all, how many of these states have taken concrete measures to force Israel to withdraw from the Gaza Strip or even to stop the genocide? Algeria and Tunisia, as well as Cuba and a few others, have never had diplomatic relations with the Zionist entity; Bolivia and Colombia have broken them off; they have also been effectively broken off with South Africa and Ireland. But all this doesn't add up to many people.
Moreover, when Macron mentions the famous recognition, he does not have a word to speak of sanctions that would constrain the Zionist colonial state, neither diplomatic nor economic, not even one to announce the end of France's participation in the arming of the Zionist entity.
Bleating for respect for international law absolutely does not stop the Zionists, nor does the recognition of the State of Palestine. If no coercive measures are taken, the Zionists will be able to continue their work of death. All this is therefore gratuitous agitation, without any effect. And all the more so since we know that this "recognition," whether put forward by Macron or by the French "left," is done within the framework of the pseudo-two-state solution: a colonized state side by side with the colonizing state and no return of the 1948 refugees!!! All this is definitely posturing and imposture! No one can believe such a fable, especially when we know what has become of the colonial peace initiated by the Oslo Accords.
This is precisely the problem facing those in the French "left" who sincerely want to support Palestine. This support must involve demanding the end of the Zionist colonial state, otherwise nothing will change. Recognition of the State of Palestine coupled with the continued existence of the Zionist colonial state is a comfortable and opportunistic position that allows things to remain as they are. As long as the Zionist entity exists, no peace or liberation of the Palestinian people will be possible.
In conclusion
For the Revolutionary Communist Party, what matters is every word and every gesture that will help the Palestinian Resistance (armed or not) in Gaza, the West Bank, and Jerusalem. No position of circumstance, opportunism, conformism, or posturing will serve any purpose other than to strengthen the Zionist colonialists in their endeavor to eradicate the Palestinian people. It is also important to pronounce or write the words that upset, and in particular the whole semantics of colonization.
It is time for sincere defenders of Palestine, particularly in certain left-wing organizations in France, to become aware of this reality: the vast majority of what is commonly called "Israeli society" is complicit in the genocide because it adheres to the foundations of Zionism and, by the same token, cannot denounce the genocide that is taking place just two doors away . What is necessary is the characterization of the situation and those responsible: the Zionist movement and its current leaders and its Western supporters: replacement colonialism and the imperialists who profit from it and support it.
This means, for example, not letting people believe that the idea of deporting Gazans was invented by Trump, even though it dates back to the beginnings of Zionism and was already thought of by left-wing Zionists in 1967. This means
his house.
The fundamental problem, the very source of the colonial conflict, of the war of national liberation, is Zionism. All the focus on "far-right Netanyahu" is a mistake or a distortion of reality. The desire to eradicate the Palestinian people is not only that of Netanyahu, but of all Zionists, since the founding project.
A just peace is not the Egyptian plan; it is the dismantling of settlements, the return of refugees, and an independent Palestinian state. The existence of a colonial state prevents such a peace. The workers of Israel cannot be free if they do not break with Zionism and continue to find themselves objectively and actively in the camp of the colonizers.
We need a state where all people enjoy equal rights and can live together, regardless of their origins - in this case, a democratic Palestinian state.
The Revolutionary Communist Party supports more than ever the fundamental demands of the Palestinian national liberation movement: a complete end to Zionist military aggression, the right of return for refugees, and the formation of a Palestinian state on the territory of Mandatory Palestine.
